Meet Joe Tanis

Joe Tanis from RE/MAX Performance Inc. has been helping clients find their dream homes since 1996. Joe graduated from Colorado State University and has since become an Associate Broker. He has GRI training and has received the 1996-1998 Executive Club Award, 1999-2008 100% Club Award, and 2008 Re/max Hall of Fame Award. Joe specializes in residential, vacant land, farm and ranch sales and loves helping buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals. Joe tells us that he has always been an entrepreneur interested in some facet of real estate. He currently is business partners with his mother and wife and finds a smile on a clients face at the closing table and a great compliment to be his favorite part of the business.

For Joe, educating buyers and sellers to the current realisms of the market place is the most challenging part of real estate. He suggests for first time home buyers to work with a qualified real estate broker and everything else will naturally fall into place. Joe tells us that the conditions in his area could not be better if you are buying, but are difficult if you are selling. Joe believes that patience, knowledge, and integrity make a good agent. “I am never looking for the quick easy deal. I want all my clients to be happy with their decisions. I know this area and stay up to date with my education and ever changing conditions in the market place. I treat all clients like they are family; I negotiate the best deal I can for my buyers and sellers.”

Since 1982, Joe Tanis has been a part of Teller County and is a Colorado native. Joe moved to the Woodland Park area 28 years ago and couldn’t be happier. He recommends that visitors and residents alike visit Pikes Peak and take part in some of the wonderful recreation offered in the Pike National Forest. “Beauty and the quality of life up here is second to none. [The area is] very affordable for a Colorado mountain area. Pikes Peak region has so much to offer its residents and there is a wonderful sense of community, year-round outdoor opportunities, affordability, excellent weather and natural beauty everywhere.”
