Irene J. Tanis of RE/MAX Performance, Inc. will help you get the deal done! Having been with RE/MAX since 1993, Irene enjoys working with people to help them achieve their goals in the proud ownership of a home. She has been an agent in Teller County since 1983 and became a Broker Associate in 2000 and holds certifications of GRI and CRS (Certified Residential Specialist). Irene has been awarded 100% Club, Platinum Award, Hall of Fame, and Lifetime Achievement. She works mostly in residential and, due to the small mountain community that she works in, Irene is exceedingly diversified and enjoys listing and selling all kinds of properties. She enjoys the fulfillment of accomplishing the sale, listing to get the Sellers’ home sold, and finding the right home for the Buyers.

I am always prospecting for listings and buyers.” Irene Tanis tells us that the most important thing a first time home buyer should is to visit with a lender and get pre-qualified so that they know just what they can and will be able to afford prior to looking. She adds that prior to buying a new home is not the best time to buy a new vehicle. The most challenging aspect of real estate for Irene is the drop of market prices, appraisals, inspections and lenders and the most rewarding part is meeting great people who are loyal and send referrals her way.

Irene was born and raised in Colorado and as she puts it: “I love Colorado. I have been to many states and countries and Colorado is home.” Irene continues to live here today with her husband of 40 years and her children and their families. She tells us that she has always loved Woodland Park and the Teller County area. “When I was young, my sister would bring me to this area in the summer to vacation.” Local attractions in Irene’s area include Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Pike National Forest surrounds Teller County; the Royal Gorge in Canon City, rafting in the Colorado and Arkansas rivers. The beautiful state of Colorado offers four seasons to enjoy so many different activities including snow mobiling, horseback riding, ATVing, skiing, snow boarding, rafting, biking, hiking, fishing, and hunting. As Irene says, “This is a place to truly enjoy the out-of-doors. You name it, we can do it here!”
